Some diners note that while the restaurant does offer a delivery service, the timing and quality of delivery can be inconsistent. This can be frustrating for those who prefer enjoying their meals at home. A few reviews mention smaller plate sizes, mentioning difficulty in serving rice alongside their main dishes. Additionally, there have been occasional complaints regarding the spice levels in certain dishes, with some patrons feeling that the heat does not match their expectations. A few visitors also express a desire for more vegetarian options, although the menu does feature several choices for non-meat eaters.
Not sure on quality of delivery but restaurant food is amazing. Not too expensive and the portion sizes are very generous. Came on a Chinese festival and didn’t have to book or wait for a table- the staff are very kind and helpful too. Very surprised of the negative reviews about service- we didn’t experience this at all! Can’t comment on delivery but restaurant is great. Atmosphere is homely and food definitely authentic Chinese. Definitely worth coming- surprised that it’s only 4*
Best Chinese restaurant in Leeds. I have been going here since 7 years ago! Never disappointed with the quality. Although I noticed that the taste of spicy dish was much less spicy 🌶️ than what I normally got, other dishes were still impressive.
Wow what a wonderful surprise. Being from Wakefield where we have the Pagoda as our only Chinese restaurant, in Leeds we are spoilt for choice. Love the friendly service, brilliant food with both standard and some really interesting local dishes. Will definitely be back.
I really enjoyed it, nice atmosphere and really good service. The food was excellent and came out really quick. My only gripe is the plates are a bit small so couldn't fit much of my rice on it but other than that top marks. I will definitely return when working in the area again.
The best Chinese restaurant not just in Leeds but in the whole region. If you've tried real Chinese food before then you will know what I'm talking about. Also I have to mention our waitress. She's the most positive and caring waitress. I hope she sees this message.
The staff welcomed us and asked if we wanted a glass of water which is a nice touch. We also ordered tea which was good. We had squid and salt an pepper ribs to start. Both very nice. The squid shone. Thicker cut and with a good salt and pepper flavour. Mains were tofu in chilli and prawns in black bean. The tofu was quite pokey and came in a huge serving. The prawns were juicy and sweet, not convinced about the sauce but pleasant. The fried rice was really good and a very generous portion for £2 the star was the soft fried noodles. Very tasty with a nice wok flavour. Really really good. 40 quid for 2 courses for 2 people. Not the cheapest but worth it.
Tried it out today. Recommended by Chinese friends. Authentic Chinese food. Loved it. Definitely recommend and will go again. Recommend their Braised Pork Belly. 😍 Friendly and helpful staff. Tables for large groups. Neat and tidy. Great service and Ambience.
